The DOJ has a separate rule for your reservations system.

Under 28 CFR 36.302(e), a hotel must describe its accessible features in enough detail for a guest to judge whether a room meets their needs, and must let guests reserve accessible rooms the same way, at the same hours, as any other room.

That is a higher bar than WCAG alone. A booking engine that passes a technical audit but does not identify accessible rooms, or that sends accessibility requests to a phone line, can still fail the rule.

Florida filings nearly doubled in 2025 (Seyfarth Shaw). A reservation system is easy for a plaintiff to test. We fix both the WCAG problems and the reservation rule gaps.

What usually breaks.

  • Booking engines that do not identify accessible rooms
  • Accessible rooms that can only be booked by phone
  • Room and amenity photos with no text descriptions
  • Check-in forms with unlabeled fields
  • Loyalty program pages that fail color contrast

Common questions

What kinds of barriers should we look for?

Look for barriers that prevent people from finding information or completing a task. Missing form labels, unreadable text and controls that cannot be used with a keyboard need attention. Source: Department of Justice web accessibility guidance.

Will a widget fix our website?

A widget does not replace fixing barriers in your code. Test the actual pages and customer tasks instead of relying on a badge or toolbar.

Where should we start checking?

Start with the tasks customers need to complete. Our free grade can identify problems for further review, and testing by people helps find barriers software misses.

Can we keep our existing site?

We can assess whether your existing site can be fixed. AI-powered fixes, tested by our team. If the work needs a rebuild, we explain the scope before you decide.
