grade

Grade exists because most accessibility work is done badly.

The accessibility industry has two poles. On one end, enterprise consultancies with audits priced for enterprises. On the other, widget vendors selling products that don't work. In between, small and mid-sized businesses, healthcare providers and public bodies find nothing that fits.

Grade is the middle layer. Automated scanning where it works, manual review where it doesn't, code-level remediation built to the standard courts and regulators use, honest pricing matched to what clients actually need. The documentation we produce is dated, specific and tied to the standard: what a reviewer or a lawyer asks for. The services we sell match the client's actual situation.

We don't sell shortcuts. We don't name plaintiff firms. What we promise is straightforward: we find the accessibility issues on your site, we fix the ones worth fixing, and we document the work the way the standard expects.

Four statements. Not aspirations. Operating principles.

01

We speak plainly.

Accessibility is complicated enough without marketing language on top.

02

We fix the cause, not the symptom.

Widgets treat the symptom. We remediate the underlying code.

03

We document everything.

The documentation is most of the value. If it isn't documented, it isn't defensible.

04

We measure compliance over time.

Not in one-time audits. Sites change. Compliance changes with them.

How we test. How we remediate. How we verify.

Automated

The Grade inspection tests every page in a real browser against every automated WCAG 2.2 Level AA test, plus our own keyboard, phone-size and zoom checks.

Manual

VoiceOver (macOS), NVDA (Windows), and keyboard-only testing across the primary user flows. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the working standard. Remediation addresses both automated findings and manual-only issues.

Verified

Before-and-after captures, full VPAT 2.5 INT reporting, dated accessibility statement. Ongoing drift detection after deployment. Our own site is maintained to the same standard.

A scan or a call. Both are free.
